I’ve sold a few books, even without FaceBook, but I’d rather be doing it with them than without them, know what I mean?
Today is the day that I changed the price, ’round the world, back to $4.99, or whatever your local equivalent is. So I’m sorry now that the sale is over; I had a few last-day buyers, which was nice, and while I am sad to raise the price, it’s what I promised to do, so I did it. It’s not good to lead your readers astray, so they tell me.
Right now, just sos you know (without the benefit of FaceBook), I’m working on finishing up book #6 in the series; Oliver & Jack: In London Towne.
Because I write long,” I’ve got about 40,000 words to go; if I write 3,000 in the morning, and 3,000 in the evening, I should have around 42,000 more by next Sunday. When, then, should finish up the series.
My friend, Wendy Rathbone, was the first (and only) person to notice how I was dragging my feet, and how I might be loathe to finish up this series, which I’ve been writing since 2013; I’m almost married to these characters, and am so at home in their world that it’s hard for me to let go. You might not be into orphans and their plight, as I am, but if you’re a writer or a reader, you’ll know what I mean: When you fall in love – you fall in love forever.
Here’s Jack: See the scarf around his neck? It’s red, and it’s the scarf he stole from Nolly (Oliver) when he snuck up on him after Uncle Brownlow’s funeral.
Here’s Oliver Twist (Nolly), who tries to be the gentleman, but, when he catches an eyeful of Jack, utterly fails.
These are my characters, that I’ve love and held to my bosom for the past three years; could you let them go, if it was you?
My goal is to get the finished manuscript to my beta readers by July 9th. You know who you are. I’ll be writing you to ask you what format you’d like it in, and then I’ll send it out. God bless them, one and all, my beta readers./

Any chance we’ll get audiobooks?

You’re very sweet to ask! I’d love to have audio books done for this series, so it’s definitely on my list of goals.
