Jack had more to say today. Less than yesterday, and more than tomorrow, for I’m sad to say that the boy is quite ill. Yes, he’s coming down with a classic Victorian fever of unknown origin, for which the only cure is wine-laced laudanum! And Oliver, of course, is beside himself with worry.

I found this following vid on Tumblr. Now, Tumblr is the best distraction ever devised. Well, besides a small kitting playing with a ball of yarn, that is.
The song is by Marco Mengoni, an Italian singer-songwriter. The video is in Italian. That’s all I know! I don’t know what the lyrics mean, but after watching this, I realized that next to the message of the video, my lack of language skills is unimportant.
Go on. Watch it. You know you want to.
P.S. I couldn’t resist and found the Italian lyrics and their English translation.
P.P.S. I have to confess that I predicted a different ending to this vid. A, shall we say, more aggressive ending where the kid punches the mean boy. Oh, no, my prediction skills don’t work in Italian videos! And perhaps that’s for the best.
